Account data: your email address and password hash.

Usage data: the public profile URLs you look up, the download rules you create, and the timestamps of those actions.

Follower data: if you connect an account you own, we store periodic snapshots of its follower and following lists so we can calculate unfollowers, non-followbacks, and new followers.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic request logs used for security and abuse prevention.

We do not access private accounts or content that is not publicly available.

We do not read your direct messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

To operate the service: fetching publicly available story content, running your download rules, and computing follower analytics.

To create and manage your account.

To send service notices, such as unfollower alerts or account notices. Marketing email is opt-in and unsubscribable.

To detect abuse, fraud, and automated scraping of our own service.

We use third-party providers for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and data retrieval. These providers process data only on our instructions and only as needed to deliver the service.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as light or dark mode.

We use analytics (including Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used, and advertising pixels from Google and Meta to measure ad performance and show relevant ads to people who have visited watcholy.com.

These pixels may set cookies and share limited event data — such as page views, sign-ups, and purchases — with those platforms. Full detail and opt-out links are in our Cookie Policy at watcholy.com/cookies.

Service email — sign-in links, billing receipts, and monitoring alerts — is part of the product and is sent to all account holders.

Marketing email (product news, tips, offers) is only sent where you have opted in or where permitted by law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects service email.

Saved stories and follower snapshots are retained while your account is active.

You can delete individual items or your entire archive at any time from your dashboard.

When you delete your account, we remove your archive, follower history, and target list within 30 days. Billing records and abuse logs are retained where required by law.

We operate from the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.

If you are in California, you may also opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information; sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising can be limited by opting out of advertising cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where required.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Watcholy is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we delete it.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
