Imginn not working: what is going on
When Imginn stops returning results, it is rarely something you did. Here are the causes in order of likelihood, and how to tell them apart.
The most common cause
Imginn failures usually come in two flavours: the domain you bookmarked is no longer the live one, or media URLs have expired server-side and every thumbnail renders as a broken image.
Work out which failure you have
Try one handle you know is public and active, then a second:
- Both fail — the tool's backend is throttled or down; waiting is the only fix
- One fails — that account may have gone private, changed handle, or been deactivated
- Page loads but media is blank — media links have expired; a hard refresh sometimes helps
- Site will not load at all — check whether the domain has moved before assuming an outage
Things worth trying
Clear the site's cookies, disable any ad blocker for that domain, and retry in a private window. If the tool is region-blocked, that is not something a browser change will fix.
Resist the search results promising a 'working mirror'. Clone domains impersonating popular viewers are the main way people in this category get burned.
The underlying problem
Every free viewer shares one backend across everyone using it, which is why they all throttle. More importantly, an outage during a 24-hour Story window means that Story is gone — Imginn being back tomorrow does not bring it back.

- Not after 24 hours. Nothing can retrieve an expired Story that was never captured, which is the argument for scheduled monitoring over manual checking.
